Where do I start to be part of 'Parlement des etudiants'?

If your school is registered in the parliamentary simulation at the Political Science Institute at USJ, then you need to create a profile on www.majlissnouweb.com and enter the game. Once the profile is created, you can campaign to be selected as Minister or President of Commission, or to enter your preferred commission.

How do I create a profile as an MP?

On the main page, scroll down to the “Register” section, enter your firstname, lastname, email, and click on “continue”. You will then be asked for a photo, and additional information. Fill it all and click on register.

Can I edit my profile?

Sure, login from the menu, and then go to your profile and edit.

How do I get ratings and comments on my profile?

Just share your profile on social media and it will rock!

Can I rate another MP or comment on his profile?

Sure, just search for him in the list of MPs click on “click here to rate”. This will take you to his detailed profile where you can do anything you wish. You will need to login on facebook.

Can I rate an MP if I am not registered as a deputy in the parliament?

Of course, everyone can rate. Just browse MPs, pick your candidate, and click on “click here to rate”. This will take you to his detailed profile where you can do anything you wish. You will need to login on facebook.

What do I write in my profile detailed description?

This text is about your bio and your vision for Lebanon. Just tell us who you are, summarize your experience, and what is your vision for Lebanon.

What do I need to put in my profile video?

You need to make a 1 to 2 minute speech that summarizes your position on the 4 laws under review. Video is uploaded two weeks after the parliament's opening session. You will be notified when you can upload it.

How will Ministers be selected?

One Minister will be selected by school on basis of your profile, votes, comments, and video.

How will Commissions/Presidents of Commissions be selected?

Selection will be done on basis of your profile, votes, comments, and video.

What do I need to do once I am assigned to Government or Commissions?

Members of Government and Presidents of Commissions will attend the leadership and public speaking training (see calendar).

Members of Government will participate to the Council of Ministers meeting which will propose draft laws (see calendar).

Presidents of Commissions will lead their Commission's activities and progress:

  1. Member of Commissions shall study the law under review by their Commission, research articles and other documents, and prepare their response and suggestions.
  2. Each commission will first discuss its law online, then discuss in meetings (see calendar).

Members of Government and Deputies shall meet in the plenary session for final discussion and vote on every draft law (see calendar).
